Deleted appointments continuously recurring on my ipod

I keep updating my calendar, even after I restore my ipod, long-deleted
appointments keep showing up on it, even though they are not on my calendar.
 
Check with the programmers of the synching software you use on the iPod - it
is their responsibility to provide compatibility. See if they have any
known issues.
