I just bought a new PC. I uploaded 20 GB of video to burn on some DVD. I then
deleted the video and emptied the recycle bin but my system shows i only have
2.75 GB memory left from 40GB.

It seems like the videos have not been deleted but i just can't seemt to
find them!

Can anyone help? I'll send a $10 Amazon voucher to the first person who can
help me dleet these files and/or free up the 20GB memory i've lost.

Thanks

Restart your computer.

Restart your computer.

And if that doesn't help, search your computer for all files
.... find the video file that is 20 gb in size and delete it
.... whether it's on your drive or in your recycle bin.

To add to what the others said are you actually deleting the video or did
you just delete it from the collections in Movie Maker?
If you did the later then the video file is still on your computer you only
removed Movie Makers reference to it.
By default, unless you changed it, the movie should be installed in the "My
Documents\My Videos" folder.

Walter, maybe you should become a certified microsoft engineer. I've
restarted the computer many times. Thanks for nothing

Many thanks it worked.

I'm using XP and i deleted the temporary internet files which freed up 22GB.
In my defence i have been using MAc for the last 2 years!

Where will i send the amazon link to?

Cheers

Many Thanks, nothing worse than being told to just restart your comp.

It turns out I had to delete the TEMP internet files. Why video files became
TEMP internet files, I really don't know.

I should go back to the MAC!

You're welcome.

Thanks for the update.

I offer my assistance in these groups all
the time for free (which in some cases is
still overpriced) and would not feel right
about accepting your most generous offer.

I would prefer that you donate a few bucks
to a good cause and just think of me when
you do it.
