Delete .vcf vCard file from my Desktop

After receiving an e-mail with a .vcf file attachment, I copied the file to my Desktop and opened and added it to my Contacts. Now I can't delete the .vcf file.
It won't delete as a regular file, and I can't delete it from within Outlook either.
