Delete Unwanted Data In Field

I have two fields: one has a % sign and an F or a C in the second field. The fields look similar to this

37C 80
56F 76
98F 79
34C 78

I need to eliminate the C's and F's and % signs.
I need to complete this task on a monthly basis, so I think I need to have a function set up to scrub this data after download
Perhaps there is something out there already built or maybe I can be given guidance on a web site that may have something I can modify for this purpose

Look in Access help at the Val() function. It's only purpose in life is to
convert strings into numbers. You can easily incorporate this into an
update query that you can run at your whim.

If your field values are always two digits and the extra character, you can use
an update query and update each field to:
Left([FieldName],2)
