I saw many folder named such as " $NtUninstallKB282010
$ ". Is it save to remove all these folder? It would help
to save up more disk space.

Thanks for helping.

I usually nuke them a week after that particular update has been installed,
assuming I've not encountered any problems. (each update from the windows
update site will have a unique # so you know which is which, or simply sort
them by date, and nuke ones older than a week.)

Wei,

Those $NtUninstall folders are created when you install a Microsoft Service Pack, a hot fix, or certain security updates. You may leave them there unless you need hard drive space. Visit http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_hotfix_backup.htm and get the utility which removes Hotfix Backup files and the Add/Remove Programs Registry entries. From MVP Doug Knox.
