Delete title on clip

Select the text clip and press the Delete key.

You can do this in Timeline view...

Thanks gentlemen,
I can do what you suggest when the text clip is between two video clips;
but when the text is on top of the video clip, "title on the selected clip,"
I am unable to select the text clip either in timeline or storyboard.
What am I missing here?
