Windows wont let you delete a file that is in use. With temp files if you
click the date modified tab at he top this will line all the folder and
files into date order. You should be able to select and delete most at once.
You will just have to try and click the oldest then hold shift on your
keyboard and select a few below the oldest. Trial and error is all I can
suggest for how far down the list you can go. After a while you will start
to know what files windows wont let you delete. On my computer there are two
files I can't delete. Do this after rebooting the computer and before you
open any programs or do it in safe mode.

1. Make sure your data is backed up to some external media - cd-r, external
hard drive, usb thumb drive, etc.

2. Do Chksk /f
How to use Chkdsk - http://tinyurl.com/2obcd

3. If you have any problems with Chkdsk and/or it doesn't solve the problem,
download a diagnostic utility from the hard drive mftr.'s website. You will
create a bootable floppy or cd with this file. Boot with the media you
created and do a thorough test of the hard drive. If it fails any physical
tests, replace it.

If this sounds too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this isn't
your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional computer repair shop
(not your local version of BigStoreUSA).

Del %temp%\*.* /q /f /s
Del %tmp%\*.* /q /f /s
Make sure IE is set to empty temporary files upon exit.
