Is there a way to delete the superior in PowerPoint's org chart? Or to add coworkers on the superior level? Thanks, Patricia

I don't think there is, Patricia, but I could be wrong. Which version of
PPT are you using?

I've tried to do this too but it failed. When I cam back to work the next
day the guy was still working there. <g>

[CRITICAL UPDATE - If you are using Office 2003, you should install this
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

The organization chart diagram type, of the Office Drawing diagramming
feature in Office 2002 and 2003, does not allow you to remove the top-most
node in the chart.

You can hide it, however, by either changing it's fill and line colors to
"No Fill" and "No Line" or creating a background filled (no line) autoshape
and positioning it in front of the node.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) feel strongly the organization
(and other diagram types) in Office should provide additiona functionality,
please send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

You can try turning off the autolayout option on the Diagramming
toolbar, but I don't know that that will work.

Maybe, though, try changing the line and fill of that superior box to
the same as your background. That will at least hide it. (You'll need to
turn off that autolayout option to be able to do that, too.)
