I recently re-partitioned my hard drive. I moved a number of programs from
one "drive" (c) to another (g). I am now trying to delete those programs
from (c) to create more space on (c) and I'm having a problem. For example,
when I try to delete Adobe I get a message telling me that it can not be
deleted. It happens with other programs as well. If I try to delete through
control panel it will delete the program for the computer.

Please advise. Win xp
Thanks.

The correct way to do this would be to uninstall the program via Add or
Remove Programs in the control panel. Then reinstall the program, doing
a custom install and telling the installer to install to G rather than C.

You need to uninstall the programs and then do a custom installation,
telling them to install on G:

Except for an occasional very small, self-contained programs, all
programs have many references to where they are located, in the
registry and elsewhere. For that reason, you can *not* move a
program from one drive to another, at least not without special
software to change all those references. In my experience such
special software works less than 100% of the time, so the best
way to do this is to uninstall the program from the old drive and
reinstall it on the new one.

It isn't clear to me exactly what you've done. Have you copied
the program files from one drive to another and are now trying to
delete the originals? If so, what you should do is instead delete
the *copies*, then properly uninstall and reinstall the programs.
