Hello all:

I am using Excel 2003.

I am trying to delete a calculated field from a pivot table report.
Everything I have found tells me to simply slect the field in the
pivot table formula dialog box and click Delete. The Delete box is
greyed out and pressing the Delete key also does not work.

Any suggestions? TIA in advance for any help.

You may first click the pivot table report, then on the PivotTable
toolbar, click PivotTable or PivotChart, point to Formulas, and then
click Calculated Field. In the Name box, select a calculated field you
want to delete. Click Delete. refresh pivot table...

i hope this helps

That did it! Thank you. I obviously did not understand the
methodology that I found with my Google searches.
