Do anyone know how to permanently Delete paths in System Configuration Utility Startup in windows xp?
R Rick \Nutcase\ Rogers Jul 9, 2004 #2 Hi Scott, Depends on where they are loading from. Start with these three registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg For anything you can't locate, start/run msinfo32. Expand the software environment and click on the startup programs. This should tell you where the software is loading from. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org
