I develop MS Access databases on two machines. If I try to move or delete a
label on a form or report on my machine with Access 03 after I have made
edits to the same form or report on my other machine with Access 07, the
databae crashes and the report or form becomes corrupted. Both machines have
XP. I have turned off AutoCorrect options. I have installed all recent
service packs. Any idea what might be causing this corruption?

No idea, however its a commonly accepted practice to keep a homogeneous
environment between production and development.

Doesn anyone have and idea on this. This extremely frustrating. In my case
the the development environment is complete homogeneous. Moments after a
adding or deleting a label from a report the database crashes.

Hi
i have the same problem.
every time i delete a label on a form, MS access crashes.
it all happened after the program was once edited on a ms access 2007 machine
since then, i have tens of times, imported the items into ne files,
decompiled, compressed and fixed and what not
it still has this terribly disturbing quirk.
any ideas anybody
i do promise from now on never to develop on 07, but for this app what can
be done to heal it?

You have posted this to a volunteer-staffed technical support newsgroup for
Visual Basic for Applications modules in Microsoft Access databases.

This is not a "company" (Microsoft hosts the newsgroup but nobody from
Microsoft routinely reads the messages) and it's certainly not an appropriate
place to submit job applications.

Mary,

Could be a Reference issue. What you should do is make up your mind as to
which application you actually want to use for modifications and stick to
it. And if it were me, I would only make changes in the version it was
created in, which for you sounds like Access 2003.

It is a commonly accepted best practice that all machines run the same
version development and production.
