Every time I use MM, it still contains ALL the old Collections Files
(even though I've deleted the actual file from my computer.
I would like to be able to delete the Old/Used "collections". There used to be a file
you could delete and Movie Maker would re-create it.

One general rule of thumb is to select the item you want to delete, using
your mouse, and pressing the Delete key.... but yours may be more complex.
If so, tell us what kinds of things they are.... old source files, project
files, info in a drop down list that isn't needed, etc.

See the Managing > Collections page of my site for the name/location of the
file. If you delete it, MM1 will start the collection database file from
scratch.

Mediatab IS the file I used to delete, but I did a complete
search on "My Computer" and it was not found -- very
strange because the program works.
See the Managing > Collections page of my site for the name/location of the
file. If you delete it, MM1 will start the collection database file from
scratch.

You're right I didn't and It Is there. I always keep my
file viewing option set to SEE hidden files -- somehow,
that got changed. Thanks a lot for your help.
Paul
You probably don't see the 'hidden' folders.

In MM2 (don't know about MM1) would it not be easier to simply click on the
Collections tab on the main MM screen? This will open all collections on
the computer. Right click on the collection you want to delete and click on
Delete. This way you would keep any collections you want to keep.
