I have a presentation that was prepared by another company and I
need to remove the naration that plays when I run it. I have looked
in the Powerpoint help features but cannot find anything. The person
that prepared the presentation is no longer with the company and the
people that are still there have no idea how to do it.

In PowerPoint 2002 at least, the Help File says:

Delete narration, music, or sound from a slide
1.. On the slide, select the sound icon or CD icon , and then press
DELETE.
2.. Repeat for each slide you want to delete the file from.

It's possible that the creator of the presentation dragged the icon off the
slide. Set the zoom factor to 50% or less and look for it. Another
possibility is that they covered it with another object. Tab through the
slide to check for all objects on the slide. Maybe you'll find two stacked
objects and maybe the one on the bottom is a sound icon.

Would Slide Show/Setup Show and clicking "show without
narration" be good enough? Or do you really need the
narration sound files to be deleted from the presentation?
