Delete meeting without sending notice?

I am trying to delete one occurrence of a recurring meeting but I do not want
to send an email to the other person. The email opens and it says that you
will be given the "option" to send an email notifying the others but it is
not an option. You have to send the email or cancel the deletion and it
remains on the calendar.

This is Outlook 2007. In the previous version I had no problem deleting a
meeting without sending an email notice. I do not have any addins installed.
I just recently updated to Office 2007.
Thanks.

I have the same issue exactly, but I don't see any reply to you. Can someone
help with this, please!!!

You, too, should state your Outlook version.

Same version as the prior poster - Outlook 2007. I also didn't have this
problem with 2003.

Does it work if you start Outlook in safe mode?

I have no idea. How do I start Outlook in safe mode? Did the feature go away
in 2007?

Hold Ctrl while you start Outlook or click Start>Run and enter

outlook.exe /safe

in the Open field and click OK. Be sure to include the space.

Yes, this did work in safe mode. So now I have a workaround and I thank you.
Was this just a diagnostic question or were you giving me a workaround? Is
this feature supposed to work in 2007?
Thanks,
Andrea

If Outlook works in safe mode, then it's likely you have an add-in that's not
behaving correctly. Start Outlook normally and in Tools>Trust Center>Add-ins,
disable all of the add-ins there. Restart Outlook and see if Outlook behaves
normailly. If so, enable each add-in one-by-one, restarting Outlook each
time, and when you've enabled the misbehaving add-in, Outlook should show the
problem again. You should uninstall whatever add-in is causing the problem.
