Delete Lists from a Combo Box

I am using accsess 97. I have a combo box that adds new lists, which do not
appear in the combo box. Is their any way that I can delete any old records
I don't need from the combo box
 
in general terms- yes - one can set up a button to delete the record of
what is highlighted in a combobox....would take me a few minutes to noodle
thru the instructions and would require the table name, formname, and cbo box
name....

of course the easy thing is if you have access to the table - then you can
simply go to the table and delete the record that feeds that combobox....
