Henry

I have a Dell computer with Window XP.

Normally, when you click "My Computer" icon, all of the
drives will show up. Recently, someone put a couple of
folders in there. I am trying to find a way to delete
them. However, when I highlight the fold, the delete
option is disabled.

Could someone tell me how to delete the two folders
in "My Computer" screen ? It is not easy as it sounds.

It would help if you told us what folders you want to delete.... And where
on the tree they're located..

Tom:

Thanks for the reply. The name of the folder
is "share". I don't know the tree of it because someone
put it there a couple of days ago.

Is "someone" of any help to consult on this?

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Henry,

Open Registry Editor and navigate to:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace]

The GUID under this key represents the special folder in the My Computer window. Post the REG export here.
