I have a lot of duplicate appointments on my Calendar but I have a good
listing on my iPaq. How do I delete the calendar on the computer and then
synchronize the iPaq?

I'm not sure how to upload and synchronize the calendar with the iPaq. It
might depend on your version of Windows and Outlook. It might depend on
having an available port with the proper configuration (or an adapter). It
may not be possible depending on the file type (which, again, depends on the
version you're using). Perhaps you should make certain it can be done and
be certain of the process before wiping out your PC's calendar.

Two step process for EACH type of data within the calendar. No, I don't
know of a simple "Clear the Calendar" command.

Switch to another view
1.. Click Organize

2.. Click Using Views.

3.. Click the view you want to use.
Note To see all the available views, click the View menu, point to Current
View, and then click the view you want.

Select multiple items
a.. To select adjacent items, click the first item, and then hold down
SHIFT and click the last item.

b.. To select nonadjacent items, click the first item, and then hold down
CTRL and click additional items.

c.. To select all items, click the Edit menu, and then click Select All.
Notes

a.. The Select All command is available only in a table, card, or icon
view.

b.. To select items in a card view, click the card heading for each item
you want selected. If the item isn't visible, click a letter or number on
the right side of the window. For example, to view a contact filed under the
last name Myers, click the m button.
Then click delete or hit the delete key. BE CAREFUL. YOU DON'T WANT TO
DELETE MORE THAN YOU WANT. PAY ATTENTION TO THE FIELDS.

Go to a different view (back to step 1), and repeat the process until you've
covered all of the views.

synchronize the iPaq?

I've done this. First, backup your iPaq with ActiveSync, just to be safe.
Disconnect your iPaq. Then, open the Outlook Calendar and choose "View>By
Category". Then choose "Edit>Select All" and press DELETE. Next, open
ActiveSync (iPaq is still not connected) and click "Options". Uncheck
everything but your Calendar. Next, select "Rules" and click the "Always
replace the items on this computer". Click "OK". Connect your iPaq and it
will sync, replacing the contents of your (empty) Calendar with the contents
of your iPaq's Calendar. Once done, restore the options you changed. Were
it I, I'd make another iPaq backup to a new file.
