Delete Button grayed in Local Area Connection.

If I understand it correctly, local area connections are automatically added
when the system detects a network card. You can disable the connection, but
you can't "delete" it unless you disable or remove the card itself. If you
just want to disable or change the settings of the connection you currently
have, you can do so easily by using the appropriate menu choice.

Please note that this is my inexpert opinion and there may be any number of
other ways that this can (or should) be handled.

Thanks for reply ... understand :)
but maybe I should be more specific ..
I have a home network set up and I want to delete
that particular one so I can change to another protocol.
I though that I was able to delete before but could be wrong.

Go to Control Panel>>Network Connections Next right click on your Local Area Connection then Left click Properties From there you can install or install Clients, Protocols, and Services
