I am appending a table to another. The latter is my main
table with autonum ID field and I do not want any
duplicate records. The field that will identify them as
dups is [phone].

I have used the find dups wizard and it works fine. I
found 350 dups after the append and made a table of them.
I don't want to maunally remove the dups but don't know
how to tell a query to keep the first record of the dup
set and del the others.

Didn't older access have a wizard for this? Regardless,
how to?

Hi,

Append the data to the table not allowing duplicated values! Forget the
error message if it is ONLY about duplicated values! it is exactly WHAT YOU
WANT.

Hoping it may help,
