Do you mean pst file? The account details in Control Panel-Mail-Email
Accounts cannot be passworded....AFAIK....

Delete the account with Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next. Select the account and
click Remove. Why do you think you need a password to do this?

Thanks so much for answering!! I have 6 email "names". When set-up originally in outlook (not ISP), it asks if you want to password that name, I did at the time (2 years ago). I have never used that name and don't remember the PW. I can't set the same name with my new ISP because of PW.
When I go to control panel-mail-emails, none of my names show up there in outlook. All other names are fine, never set them up with PW. Any other way to delete the email name?
Thanks again for your help, reneeon, New Orleans, L

Thank you for replying.
"Tools" where? When I am in outlook and click tools, "E-mail acounts"
is not a drop-down option. Sorry, I'm a little better than a novice at computers. Where do I need to go? Thanks again for your help, reneeon, New Orleans, LA

The only password Outlook has EVER needed when setting up an email
account is the password that it needs to access the mail server. There
is NO password on an email account otherwise. Just remove the email account.
In Control Panel, with Outlook closed, click on Mail-Email Accounts and
remove the one you don't want.

"Tools" where? When I am in outlook and click tools, "E-mail acounts"
is not a drop-down option.

Where do you think I said it was. After clicking Tools, then E-mail
Accounts, there will be a "Next" button, like I said, at the bottom of the
dialogue. Since the default radio button in the middle part of the dialogue
will be the correct one for what you want to do, just click Next. You'll
see your mail accounts. Remove the ones you don't want. You don't have to
be a computer wiz to follow simple instructions.
