I have a Linksys wireless PC card on my laptop but it
malfunction so I want to reboot the program. I tried
everything to uninstall the program from the program list
in add/remove programs but no avail. Everytime I reboot
the disk, it does not allow to boot because the OS still
detect the program. Is there anyway to delete the program
without using the add/remove programs? Pls. help...

Boot in Safe Mode (press F8 during the boot phase), then
uninstall the program.

I have the problem same like this.
I am using USB wireless adapter. After i removed the
program. My win2000 adv. server reboot almost every one
minute when the system load the network resources (I
think).
I can boot by using Safe Mode, and find out under Network
adapters from device manager, i have Direct
Parallel,Network Load Balancing Filter Device, WAN MINIPOT
(IP),WAN MINIPOT(L2TP),WAN MINIPOT(PPIP).
I can only disable them instead of uninstall them.
But reboot problem still there.
Please help, maybe i can remove them from registry?
Thanx

I did remove the program and the adapter driver.

Modifying the registry should be your last resort, if all
else fails. As a first measure, if disabling the adapters
does not work, launch the Device Manager and look
at the details of the offending adapter. Under "Driver
Details" you will find the name of the driver file. Make
a note of it, rename it to something else, then reboot
your machine. You may have to repeat the process
several times until you find the culprit.

After finding the culprit, you can either uninstall it
properly, or modify the registry.

How about if the safe mode doesn't work. What are the
other solutions?
