DELETE 1 DRIVE LETTER, THEN WHAT?

I have 3 internal drives, 1 external drive and 2 jump drives.( also 2 CD and
DVD drives)

The 1st drive contains the Windows OS XP Pro and is partitioned into 2
sections, one = C, the other = G.

The 2nd drive is all D and H (the latter holding all my applications.

The 3rd drive is all E

I would like to combine G and C into 1 drive C.

What happens to the other drive letters? I am most worried about drive H,
since I do not want to re-install all applications all over again.

What operating system. If XP nothing happens. All other drives stay the
same

Forget it ... you are stuck ... MS OS's have a nasty habit of naming
partitions/drives with letters of the alphabet and have gone downhill in
that respect in that you can't change the OS's drive letter anymore
(probably a good thing considering the whole registry idea) and the only
user control at install is the presence or absence of hardware.

Maybe Vista will fix that mess,

Dont need to, child. Someone else correctly pointed out
that the existing drive letters wont change in that situation.

ALL I needed to do was to point out that you dont actually
have a clue in case the OP wondered if you were right.

And even someone as stupid as you should have noticed that only
stupid children expect an instant response to their childish antics.
