I am running Windows 2000 server. Veritas backup9.0.
symantec Corporate 8.1 and not to much else.; Using an
external usb 2.0 sevice for backup. The problem is that I
continually get Windows delayed write failure errors in
the form of \hardrive\$mft as an example. Everythoing
that I have read suggest hardware failure but it seems to
be running fine except for that. Does anybody have any
ideas?

Thanks

I have a similar problem with a USB 1.1 Pen Drive on Windows 2000 Pro, since
I upgraded to SP4. Can copy small files OK ( < 12 MB) but anything larger
fails with the Delayed Write Error.

I have retested the pen drive on a system with Win 2000 Pro SP1 and it works
flawlessly on 200+ MB copies.

Have filed an Online Assisted Support form with Microsoft, but not holding
my breath :-)
