Dear all,

I have a file server running windows 2000 server on HP Netserver LC2000
UT (SCSI controller). Recently, i noticed that there're a lot of disk
error messages in the event viewer:-

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Disk
Event Category: None
Event ID: 11
Date: 09/08/2006
Time: 8:51:53 AM
User: N/A
Computer: MSELSER
Description:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\DR0.

and after that it came up this after all the disk errors:-

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Application Popup
Event Category: None
Event ID: 26
Date: 09/08/2006
Time: 8:51:56 AM
User: N/A
Computer: MSELSER
Description:
Application popup: Windows - Delayed Write Failed : Windows was unable
to save all the data for the file
\Device\HarddiskVolume1\shared\sales\LeeSN. The data has been lost. This
error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network
connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

I've turned off the 'Enable Write Cached' on the hdd ,modified the
registry to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager\Memory Management] "SystemPages"=dword:ffffffff

and turned off the enablesecuritysignature in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters

but still the same. Users are complaining the disk full/error.
Please help!.

Regards,
Aylmer

Do you have any HP tools to verify if there are problems with the hard drive
(i.e. Netraid)?
