Allan
I have recieved a few "Delayed Write Failed" error
messages on my 2000 Server SP4 system. The microsoft
article that applies to this is Q321733. These are a few
error messages I am given.
{Delayed Write Failed}
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file x.
The data has been lost.
This error may be caused by a failure of your computer
hardware or network connection. Please try to save this
file elsewhere
and also
Lost Delayed-Write Data
The system was attempting to transfer file data from
buffers to Filename.
The write operation failed, and only some of the data may
have been written to the file.
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MRxSmb
Event Category: None
Event ID: 50
Description: {Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was
attempting to transfer file data from buffers to
\Device\LanmanRedirector. The write operation failed, and
only some of the data may have been written to the file.
Microsoft says they have a fix for this but where do you
get it at? The server has service pack 4 on it, and the
client machines which are 2000 have service pack 4 on them
two. Client machines meaning the ones the errors originate
from but appear on the server. Does anybody know a
workaround on this?
Thanks
