"Delayed Delivery" never delivers

I am using Outlook 2002 that links to a corporate Exchange
5.5 server.

When I select in options on a new message for delayed
delivery the message never reaches its destination. I
have tried to send to both intenal and external e-mail
accounts and none of them work. I can see the message
waiting in my outbox and it disappears when the desired
send time comes to pass. After that...nothing. The e-
mail shows in my sent items folder but it never actually
arrives at its destination. What am I missing here?

Thanks,

Jeff

Any chance the message also has an expiration date on it that is the same or
close to the delayed delivery date?

Thanks but no, the message has no expiration date set.
The message by all appearances seems to have been sent.
It shows in the SENT items folder and there is never a
message saying the mail wasn't delivered for whatever
reason. 'Normal' e-mail has no problems and is sent and
received as it should be. Only mail that had "delayed
delivery" exhibits this problem.

That's very odd. I've never seen problems with that before. Do you know if
it happens to other users in your org too or just you?

What sort of account do you use to connect to the Exchange server? Someone
posting in microsoft.public.outlook.general has a similar problem,
connecting to Exchange 5.5 via SMTP. In their case, the server logs show
that the message is being received by the server, so their problem lies
somewhere in the server...
