Delay Previewing Messages

Since I upgraded from WinME to WinXP then after having to re-install Office XP SB, my previewing of Outlook 2002 messages has a 10-15 second delay as I move from 1 msg to the next. Prior to the upgrades and reinstall, previewing messages was quite 'snappy'. Now there is this bizarre, aggrevating delay I encounter as I move down the list of messages in my InBox.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Try disabling the Windows Messenger integration. Tools-> Options-> tab
Other.

I never could figure out why the same thing happened (and continues to
happen) to me. I disabled the Messenger but it had no effect. I'm hoping
2003 will solve it! I figure if I write a check to MS every year that one of
these times all these annoyances will go away.
