What's an 8r5 slide? (Just curious.) And which version of PPT are you using?
One way to make an individual slide loop is to set it up as a custom show
and then set the custom show to loop until escape. So I'd first check to see
if that individual slide has somehow been set as a custom show. Slide
Show/Set Up Show is where to check for that.
How is the sound inserted into the slide? Is is inserted onto the slide
itself, or is it inserted into the transition, or is it inserted by
attaching it to a specific animation in the custom animations?
I suppose the issue with the sound could be related to the size of the
sound. It may be taking PPT some time to "load" it for playing. But also
check the sound file settings in custom animation -- is the sound set to
start after a delay of some seconds?
