I have an older (6years) Dell monitor, it has served me well. I matched it up to
a H/P and noticed that in the bottom right hand corner, their was more 'gray' than
in any other part of the screen, I am thinking (from Tv days) that maybe the monitor needs
to be '''degazed"',???? but I recall somewhere (faulty memory) that some monitors automatically
de gaze themselves when they 'come on', or is there something else I need to do???? thanks for
reading this, hope you can help. cl

I think you were looking for "Degauss", which, as you have discovered, your
monitior does when you switch it on...

It's correctly called "degauss". And modern monitors do it automatically
when they turn on.
