Hi I have discovered that my computer has a virus and I really need to know how to get onto the system defragmentor and virus checker. Could you please help
Regards, Claire

Hi Claire,

A virus wouldn't have anything to do with the defragmentation utility.
Please tell us how you know that you have a virus, and what specific error
messages you are seeing as well as when they occur. Also, what type of
antivirus software is currently installed.

I had a message come up from my virus protector Bullguard and it said that I had a virus I stupidly didn't write anything down, the message even told me what the file was
I'm really stuck now

So, Claire, let me understand. Bullguard detected a virus on your system,
but didn't automatically remove the virus, nor give you an option to
manually remove it? Is that correct? The Bullguard site indicates that the
software will find and eliminate viruses. I suspect you received a message
indicating that a virus was found and eliminated (kinda letting you know
it's on the job. Could that be, or are you having problems that might be
caused by a virus anyway?
