I have about 60m free space on a 100m partition;

The defragment program tells me only 1% of the able free
space is accessable, and it needs to access at least 15%
to run properly;

Alos, I am not able to print because the O/S can't find my
printer; I am unable to reinstall printer because some
print routine program is not installed.

What do I do?

Help!

15% of a 100meg partition would be 15meg free.
You don't need to run defrag, you need to run a full scandisk.
If you want it defragged and just don't care that the disk doesn't
really know how much is on it, Contig would normally do it.

If it'll work on a disk that doesn't know how much space it really has
on it is a good question.

Did it print on that system before?
Get on your printer's web site and see if there is some utility that
also needs to be downloaded like a file that controls your LPT port
that the printer is connected to. It's likely that you also need to
set the mode that your LPT port is running in the BIOS before the
printer will function and before you install the drivers for it.
While you're at it, dl the newest drivers for the printer.
