defragmenter displays no white space but drive properties shows 15

More than 50% of my small 7gb drive shows red fragments and there's no white
space at the end of analysis phase of defrag. This conflicts with 15% white
pie slice of free space in c: properties. Defrag proceeds normally but there
is no significant change in the large red fragments portion at the end. Are
these fragments really there??

Can I get rid of them and get more space or are these ficticious?

Thanks in advance

Defragging never creates extra space. It only rearranges the
bits and pieces that make up your files. Furthermore, unless
your files are heavily fragmented, it will give you no measurable
improvement in performance. You're chasing the pot of gold
at the end of the rainbow!

Ok understood. Three more questions more please:

* 60% fragmented files is NOT SIGNIFICANT FRAGMENTATION? There's a little
bit of blue contiguous (non fragmented files) and little bit of green
system files
but more than half is Red fragmented files in the display when defrag
is
complete. Normal? I've gotten all the junk temp fiiles etc off
* There is NO FREE (white) SPACE shown in the defrag analysis display
but that conflicts with the pie chart in c: drive propertiies showing
15% free
space. Normal?
* No pot of gold? Well that's a big disappointment indeed.

Thanks
