had w98 & seched defrag was not working -- I upgraded to XP, I ended up del defrag from scheduled tasks BUT not can not figure out how to get it back in scheudule --your help pls

Click on Utilities, there is a tweak here to defrag all drives as a task.
This function is not natively supported.

There are two defrags, one is a pretty one that waits for a click to do anything (defrag.msc). This is the one Task Schedule finds because it's the one listed on the start menu. Then there is an ugly one called defrag.exe.
defrag c: /f
You must specify parameters and you must browse to find it (it's in system32)
