I know this has probably been discussed here before, but what software is
safe to use to defrag RAID 0 drives? I have two 80 G WD drives on the VIA
controller on my A8V Deluxe that I need to defrag.

RAID 0 setups do not require special software to defrag them. Use
Windows Defrag, Norton Speed Disk, Disk Keeper, or anything you like.

Me too. Two 80GB Raid 0, VIA controller on AV8 Deluxe

Not an issue.
Thanks. Didn't think it would be a problem, but thought I'd check to make
sure.

I use Disk Keeper version 9 and have had no problem with a raid 0 set
up .

Diskeeper 9 (there is now a 10) worked fine for me, as does Windows' own.
(SiL 3112 RAID controller with two 80G Maxtor Diamond+ 9).

All other 3rd-party defrags seem to choke (System Mechanic, System Suite, etc.).
Either freeze, or run for 30+ hours and no sign of progress.
