Looking for a prog that will defrag floppies. XP does not recognize them for
some strange reason!

Hi Andy,
back-up the files from floppy, format the floppy and just copy back the files :-) Without
formatting the disk, the files will be not contiguous.

Youe can also try the CONTIG Utilities from www.sysinternals.com (Mark Russinovich).

Have a very nice day,

Would you like to explain how?

.... that explains why you wanted for defrag a floppy ....

If you followed the thread properly, you would have noticed that I didn't ask
the original question!!

Hello!

MS-DOS 6 Defrag is working very well! I think MS-DOS 5 would also do
the same......

Just type "defrag" on the MS-DOS Prompt.

Make a bootdisk with MS-DOS and copy defrag.exe on it. Dont start any
Memory Manager!!!

Good Bye!
