Silly question: What am I supposed to do about the files
on my C drive that Windows XP is unable to defragment?
The last couple of times I have run it, the report gives
me quite a long list of files (mostly games) that cannot
be defragmented and I just wondered how to deal with
them? Usually the drive is defragmented with no problem
files remaining. Many thanks, Nicky

Game fies are big and there may not be enough fre space in the right place. A big file in two pieces in no big deal, of even 10 pcs.

Go to the same place where you defraged your computer. This is usually how I do it. I open up My Computer, then I right click on the mouse and scroll down to properties. A box will come up, then click on "Tools" Where it says Error checking status, click on check now. Put a dot in where it says, Thorough and click on, automatically fixs errors.
See if this helps. You should do this when you defrag your computer as well. After that is done go ahead and defrag your computer again and see if it works. Venus
