Defrag W2K DC/AD

Best procedure? JUST DO IT! While you're there is good since if there's a
problem you can respond to it. It shouldn't take so long that you need to
consider doing it as a downtime or after-hours process, especially if you do
it on a reasonable schedule.

HI,
Best procedure for defraging W2K DC/.AD . C&D drives. C System, D programs.
Small 10 WS network.
I leave work at 5:00PM. Tape Backup starts at 12 midnite. Anti Virus scan
start at 3:00am. Is it advisable to start defrag when I leave or should I be
there?
Or is diskeeper a good option . We have 2 accounting programs on the server
that 5 of us access all day and also postoffice(microsoft mail, yeah, I
know) that we all use all day. Analyze says defrag now

Well, thanks, No need to get excited. With 5 people accessing 2 heavy duty
accounting programs, I thought It couldn't hurt to ask.
