Defrag spots fragmented Microsoft Spware files that can't be eliminated

I am running the Beta 1 Microsoft Antispyware app. It does
its job, but, when I defrag my machine, a "red"
(fragmented files) strip remains, even after repeating
defrag couple of times. When I click "analyze" it says
that "errors" are the cause of the files from the
Microsoft Spyware app which refuse to defrag, thus showing
up as the "red" (fragmented) files which will not "go
away."

Thanks - this is a useful report--perhaps this issue can be eliminated in
the final product design, or at least mentioned in release notes. I believe
if you shutdown Microsoft Antispyware for the duration of the defrag, they
should be defragged, but that isn't the way anyone would like to see this
work.

Good point on the defrag. But defragmentation is best done on a regular basis with a 3rd party 'automatic defragger'. Apart from your issue it might be worth checking out some of the much better defrag tools - they should do a much better job. :)
