While the analysis feature works fine, when I try to defrag the HD, my system reboots. Comments?

Hi.

The first thing I would suspect is a disk error; you might be
surprised how many inexplicable problems it has cleaned up! Try
running chkdsk/r on the problem drive.

Good suggestion, but no errors were found. I also tried running defrag from the command prompt (still rebooted) and in safe mode (computer just hung). Guess I'll just have a messed up HD, or wiat for SP2! :-)

Crashes can only be caused by a hardware failure or a driver that isn't
"playing well with others"...

First, I'd suggest booting into Safe mode and trying to defrag from there.
If it works, then it is a driver issue.
