It is not possible but you can copy these definition files and
then move them with any media, CD/USB memory etc to another PC.

You need these two files from /Program files/Microsoft
Antispyware

gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd
and
gcThreatAuditScanData.gcd

Just shutdown MSAS with right click in systray, overwrite
these files and restart MSAS.

But why do you want them as separate files ?

It's easier and more accurate to use the updater.

But the last time I checked:
http://download.giantcompany.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditThreatData.g
cz
http://download.giantcompany.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditScanData.gcz
http://download.giantcompany.com/ASDefinitions/gcDeterminationData.gcz
(not listed as definition file, but also downloaded)

(I've gotten the files by both download.giantcompany.com and
download.spynet.com)

along with some .cat files for verification, are the files downloaded.
They are normal .zip files but with .gcz.
Inside are the .gcd files that are the definitions.
I've tried manually placing the files, but it seems more is in play,
because the definition version number may not show correctly although the
files are of a specific version number.
Also, updating after that can show it updates to a new number but the
number may revert at restart, or never change at all.
I suspect it realizes the files are of the new version so doesn't update
whatever additionally is in play on reporting version numbers.
If that is correct, then possibly a later update would synchronize
everything.

Interesting--thanks. Like www.spynet.com the spynet.com version of these
links is out of commission for me.
