This is really weird. How can two different definitions versions have the
same KB# at the Windows Update site? I just took a look at my update
history listing and it shows both Definitions 1.14.1436.4 and 1.14.14512.3 as
KB915597 and shows that I have successfully gotten them both! How can they
both have the same KB#? Hold on, the plot thickens. Defender GUI HelpAbout
screen still shows 1.14.1436.44 but after clicking the Checkfor Updates
button and says I'm up to date, that number does not change! What I do know
for certain is that Control Panel Add/Remove does not show KB915597 at all!!!
I tried removing the current signature file via MS Article 915105
instructions and then updating again, but no go. WindowsUpdate thinks I
already have them and clicking the Check for Updates button in the program
doees too! Need some help here. Could all this be happening because the two
definitions version should perhaps NOT have the same KB# on WindowsUpdate
site? Have no clue as to what else to try to get met updated to 1.14.1452.3
defs.
