Does anyone know if it is possible to extract the
definition files from an updated, installed version of
Antispyware? I would like to be able to put them on my
flash drive so I can update systems that I don't trust
enough to let on my network.

I don't know--want to try it and tell me about it?

Here's a KB article which shows which files are involved:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;892519

I also know that the download from the download center is "periodically"
(perhaps that should read occasionally at this point) updated with current
definitions--and the definition version is noted in the text at the download
page--so you can pull in a version with reasonably current definitons that
way.

This file > "gcAntiSpywareLibrary.dll" is the library file
that contains the Definitions.

Under a 'typical' installation, the above file would be located here;
'C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware'
