I thought Edsel was pretty good.

I dated a Vista Edsel back in High School - high spirited girl, lovely to
look at, but a wee bit wacky

It died by marketing, not performance. It just fit an available price
niche.

The Edsel was a little bit Ford, a little bit Mercury, and a whole lot of
ugly

is she still alive?
This is getting ronchy, lol

Her full name was Vista Maria Edsel - 1 hot Mama (except for the ''wee bit
wacky" thing)

Edsel, not Ethel. :)

AH YES - Ford's version of the common cold

It is worse to drive a Ford Maverick Remember those?

I'm the only guy I know that traded his Studebaker in on an Edsel!
Lovely little 1950 Studie Starlight Coupe. Totally gutless, tho.
The Edsel had a huge (at that time) 300 hp ford engine. 13 mpg down hill or
hauling a trailer uphill ...40 to 100 mph.

Love the Vistacoocoos!
