Defender vs Antispyware

Will Defender (Beta 2) routinely uninstall AntiSpyware or will it let you
know it has found AntiSpyware and prompt you to uninstall it?

That depends on your general settings. There is the option to have Defender
always apply actions after a scan, but I prefer not to use that. I want it to
notifiy me and let me decide. Look under Tools>General Settings.

Hello Old Rebel,

Windows Defender routinely uninstalls Microsoft Antispyware as part of the
installation process. It leaves quite a bit behind--perhaps with the
purpose of, for example. allowing retrieval from quarantine.
