Defender Updates

Hi,
I have a slightly different issue, in that I can not download any updates at
all. I am told that my definitions have not been updated for 35 days! When
I try to update I am told that no definitions are no new definintions
available.
I have tried the mentioned fixes of uninstalling the definition signatures,
without success.

Have you gone to Wiindows Update to see whther signature files are offered?

Are you on a corporate network where patches are controlled by a centrally
managed update mechanism?

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the slow response, I have been working away
from the office.

Success, your sugesstion that I look at the windows update site worked.

I rarely go to the custom option, but there it was.

Great--If automatic updates are routed to an in-house server which isn't
carrying these signature updates, going to Windows Update is the alternative
route available.
