Defender Updates with SMS

I'm in the process of doing a full SMS and desktop deployment, as part of
this anti-spyware is required and so Defender has been suggested.

Am I right in thinking that the Software Update functionality within SMS
won't update Defender definitions? If so is this ever likely to change or
should I deploy WSUS as well as SMS which would obviously increase the admin
overhead?

I don't know the answer re: SMS versus WSUS--my leaning is towards your
being able to deploy via SMS, but you should ask in a forum that knows this
