Defender SUCKS!!

I loath this program. Bring back MSAS NOW! Defender doesn't have all the
great little tools that MSAS had. I've unistalled Defender on 3 computers &
reinstalled MSAS on them. Only bad thing is I can't do the updates--due to
Defender being one of them. People like the ability to choose what to
erase--keeps the computer clean. Why would we go & buy other programs to do
this? IE7 for internet/XYZ for everything else??? IE6 erased the same things
as far as I can tell as IE7...I've seen reponses from MS stating that IE7
will blah, blah...People who don't know computers don't need tracks eraser or
the other tools from MSAS--so they won't use them....but other's will!
Obviously a lot of people want the MSAS features back. I don't care what MS
says about why they removed the tools from MSAS...we want them. Bring them
back. It's very simple. Not complicated. If not, someone else will duplicate
MSAS & we'll all be happy!!! (Funny how there wasn't as many comlaints with
MSAS as there is with Defender!?)

You can have MSAS back - although only for another 45 days. (Yesterday
there was even a new definitions file released.)

Uninstall WD, re-install MSAS (available from
http://www.filehippo.com/download_microsoft_antispyware/

and spend another 45 carefree days.

(I'm sure the program will continue to run beyond then, I'm not sure
about definition updates though.)

This ranks right up there with the new Windows media player in a major FUC(&
ups.
Who thought removeing control from the user was a good plan ???? Kids let a
program sink its teeth in good luck removing it with this junk. Beta 1 could
fix the trouble in a couple min. flat. Bring back BETA 1 and get rid of this
crap Billy G. PLEASE. On a seprate rant win players latest is built around a
big damn ad, if I buy a damn OS I want NO &^^*() ADS built in. I want a win
media player WITH NO STORE BUILT IN, or GIVE ME VISTA FREE. If this is the
best MS is going to do with its updates I have to turn them off completly.
Hope someone sues for removal of store ads in player. Might be why the change
was made to spyware program to prevent users from blocking its damn ads and
invasive DRM.
 
im with you on this. i absolutely LOVED looking at all the default MS pgs w/
the GIANT beta. i loved looking at all of what the software checkpts were
protecting me against. although i didnt trust actually running scans, etc.
with this program, it was very detailed and i loved having the GIANT version.
i still have Defender installed because the other one will stop working in
like 40 days anyway. that GIANT one wont even allow you to open it and view
all those great settings at that time. i hope MS makes the final defender
have all of what the GIANT msas had.
