ok, so i just got home and noticed that this defender is now on my computer,
not only does it want to restart my computer like every 30 seconds, it keeps
bringing up this warning saying i have a bad file, so then i clik on it to
have it removed, but that also keeps popping up like every 15 seconds, nd
then when i clik on the little icon at the bottom of my screen it opens up
the defender for me, and states that my computer is running fine, and there
are no malicious files or software. anyone else with these probs. any
suggestions.

I don't have all the same problem, but I did get the "there are no malicious
files or software" message all the time but had continued trojans and adware
on my system. I loaded a free version of SpyCatcher and did a deep scan to
find 114 traces, 75 of them were applications and 38 were quarantined. I've
found earlier version of Microsofts spyware program was a good program while
this Windows Defender isn't worth the install. It puts a false sense of
security over the computer owners and the systems they are running are not
very protected at all.

I get the same thing with the Trojan Horse thing. Everytime I boot up a
screen comes up and says it's found the Trojan Horse, then I delete it, and
it keeps coming back everytime.
