Defender opens up window for Titanshield prog

When WD last informed of threat I received a window with and ad for
Titanshield malware removal.
It appeared as if if was associated with WD.I have instaled Titan and it
works well although if it is permanently enabled I get a message that IE has
encountered a problem and has to shut down.

Any comments please.
 
Do a system restore prior to the installation of Titanshield. If you can't
do that, then see if it has an uninstall entry in programs or add/remove
programs and uninstall. See if IE works. Do a full system scan under WD.
Ignore downloading Titanshield. If WD finds nothing and you are still
getting ads for Titanshield, try installing Lavasoft Ad-aware Personal and
a-squared (both free) and do a full scan.
